 Our legal staff has received many honors and recognition for their legal work and volunteer activities including the most current awards:

• Pepe Mendez and Elsa Martinez Tenreiro have both received the Lanceford Butler Award  of the Colorado Bar Association, Workers' Compensation Section.  This award is presented to attorneys who have made significant contributions to workers' compensation law in the State of Colorado.  Elsa will receive the award for 2008 and Pepe received his in 1994.  

• Best Lawyers in America - Pepe J. Mendez, by vote of his peers, has been voted one of the Best Lawyers in America from 1996 to present.

• Elsa Martinez Tenreiro is the 2007-2008 President of the Denver Bar Association. 

• Abel Alvarado is currently serving as a part-time Hearing Judge for the Excise & Licensing Department of the City and County of Denver.

• Elsa was awarded the DBA Volunteer Lawyer of the Year Award in 2005, the Metro Volunteer Lawyer of the Year Award in 2004, and the Channel 9 Outstanding Volunteer Award in 2004. 

• Pepe J. Mendez recognized as a "legal pioneer" by the Colorado Hispanic Bar Association in 2007.

• Recognition of  Pepe J. Mendez as a "Super Lawyer" by 5280 Magazine  in 2006, 2007, and 2008.

• Abel Alvarado, and Elsa Martinez Tenreiro are all regular volunteers for Channel 9's "Law Line 9".
